Meet the Chef
Annette has always believed in the power of good food – it has the power to bring people together and communicate where words are lost. This belief has stemmed as far back as she can remember starting with her grandparents and her childhood in a vibrant, Italian family.
Her mother was always in the kitchen filling the house with wonderful smells preparing for the next gathering around the table. When she became a mother to her own three daughters, she passed on her joy of good food creating beautiful cakes for celebrations and holidays.
Looking to share her passions for creating great food that looked as good as it tasted, she joined Wilton Industries as a cake and pastry decorator in 2012. It wasn’t until early 2015 that Annette decided to take on a new challenge and began Fill My Jar Candy Company. Coupling her belief in good food and passion for bringing people together, she created one of kind, handcrafted candies that are perfect for sharing.
Since its inception, Fill My Jar has been unstoppable - popping up at local farmer’s markets, craft shows, pop-up shops and corporate events. With all Fill My Jar’s delicious candies made to order in small batches and hand-cracked by Annette and her team. Annette is excited to announce the opening of her first store at 3726 Prairie Ave. in Brookfield Illinois.
